About PNW Paint Company

A painting crew that prepares first and cleans up after

PNW Paint Company is a painting contractor based in downtown Yakima. The crew paints interiors and exteriors for homeowners, landlords, property managers and business owners across the Yakima Valley. The shirt they wear on the job says it plainly: “We don't cut corners, WE PAINT THEM.”

The same shirt carries “EST. 2021,” which is when the company started. Since then the work has grown from single rooms and houses to apartment rows, motels, storefronts and office interiors. The licence is current: Washington contractor #PNWPAPC773BP, active since 2023, and the company is licensed, bonded and insured. In 2024 PNW Paint Company became BBB Accredited.

Customers rate the work 4.8 out of 5 across 45 Google reviews. When you read them, the same few things come up again and again: the quote that was honoured, the tidy worksite, the care taken around furniture, and the small details that got finished properly.

The crew in the shirts

You will see the branded shirts and the liveried van on the job. Painters here work on ladders, with airless sprayers, and on their knees cutting in a clean line along a baseboard. Some of the work is loud and fast. Most of it is slow and careful.

How we work: prep comes first

A paint job is only as long lasting as the surface under it. So the first hours on a job are rarely spent painting.

Inside the house

Nail holes and minor drywall damage get repaired, texture is patched and blended, surfaces are sanded, gaps are caulked and bare spots are primed. Furniture is protected, and rooms are left clean when the crew goes home.

Outside, in the Yakima weather

Sun, wind, heat and cold are hard on exterior paint here. The failing coat is cleaned, scraped and sanded, gaps are caulked, minor repairs are made and exposed wood is primed before the new coatings go on siding, trim, fascia, soffits, doors and garages.

For property managers

Tenant turnovers, apartment repaints and storefronts are scheduled around the people who use the building, with night work when a business needs to keep trading. See thecommercial painting pagefor the detail.

What customers say

Rated 4.8 from 45 Google reviews. Three of them, word for word.

“They have always given me a fair price, and just as importantly, they've always honored the price they quoted with no surprises. It's hard to find that kind of honesty and reliability these days.”

Josh Parmentier, Google review

“Ted and his crew are the absolute best. Every stage of this process was easy and straight forward. The house looks incredible, attention to detail is outstanding. Make sure you book through PNW Paint Co!”

Anne Michelle, Google review

“They painted some ceilings in our home, which included three deep skylights, and did a great job at a reasonable price. They were very clean and careful, took good care of our furniture, and were super friendly! Would hire them again.”
